Free Sports Physicals on Saturday, April 22
Richland District One’s free physical day is Saturday, April 22nd. Buses will leave the Crayton Gym at 7:30 am and travel to Williams Brice Stadium.
Palmetto Health USC Orthopedic Center will conduct sports physicals for our students free of charge. Students will board buses and return to school for pick up by 10 am.
In order to participate in the free physical day, students are required to have the Palmetto Health Consent/Release Form - this form must be picked up in the main office. The other forms required, the Medical History Form, Concussion Form and the Richland District 1 Sports History Form, can be found on our webpage here. These forms must be completed and turned in to Coach Gould by April 20th.
DHEC will have a Tdap Clinic on May 9th for Crayton Middle School students. Consent forms will be sent home with all 6th grade students on March 31st and must be returned by April 17th in order to participate. If your child has not had the required Tdap immunization for 7th grade, this will be a convenient way to get it done. All 7th grade students must have the Tdap immunization upon entering the 7th grade.
Crayton PTO Site Plan for the Exterior Areas of Campus
Crayton’s PTO has begun the process of developing a site plan for the exterior areas of campus. Some of the features being considered as part of this overall plan are:
a fitness/learning trail around the perimeter of the campus,
an outdoor reading area outside the media Center, and
a play surface around the cafeteria lunch pad where students play after eating.
If you are or have connection to a landscape architect or designer, please contact Laurie Royson, PTO President email@example.com
