Principal's Corner

It is with great humility and excitement that I join the Diamond Hornet family as the new principal of Lower Richland High School. My goal is that of continuing the long tradition of working with parents, teachers and staff and students to provide the best experiences and opportunities that will serve to prepare each student for an ever-changing world. I believe all students can learn and excel in a safe, challenging, and engaging environment characterized by high expectations, authentic learning experiences and choice so that they can become productive citizens in a global society.

During the 2022 – 2023 school year, we will continue to focus on making Lower Richland a state and nationally recognized school. We will do this through academics, athletics, extra-curricular activities, and community initiatives.  With a continued focus on having high expectations for all students through engaging and challenging instruction, we will provide instruction, resources, and support to help students improve on various assessments such as the EOCEP (End of Course), ACT, WorkKeys, AP, and IB exams as well as our graduation rate to ensure that each student is prepared to graduate college and career ready.

Please join me in a partnership where we call work together under the mindset of making decisions and acting on the belief that we must always keep the need of the child at the forefront of everything we say, think and do. Within the next few days, you will get more information from me regarding various stakeholder group meetings.

I look forward to building new relationships with all stakeholders and continuing a culture where we have high expectations for ourselves, our students and each other.
